Day 18

 Today I made some new coins!!! The Toxic coin: - Deals normal damage - Deals 10% of your current  HP to yourself - But 80/100 chance The Sturdy Coin: - Deals 0  damage - Heals 10 damage - 50/50 chance I also tweaked the berserker coin to not solo the game. It now scales less damage wise and has lower change (30/100) BUT its chance now also scales with HP lost. TO DO: - Claw Coin - Vampire Coin - QTE Coin - profit Thanks for reading :) CH

Day 17

 Today we worked on our itch page ( https://fegibson.itch.io/gilded-tower ) and our new discord server, The Goblo Den ( https://discord.gg/QPAqS5FxH5 ) I also made it so that you have to collect a coin (or skip) before you collect a card and move on. Next time I will try to add: - Rest spot after mini boss - Toxic Coin - 80/20 chance to hit, deal 5 damage to self (synergizes with Berserker coin) - Sturdy Coin - 50/50 chance to hit, heal 10 HP on hit - QTE Coin - Do a quick time event to gain a boost to luck and damage Thanks for reading :) CH

Day 16

 Today we did some playtesting again!!!! We got some ideas: - Toxic Coin - 80/20 chance to hit, deal 5 damage to self (synergizes with Berserker coin) - Sturdy Coin - 50/50 chance to hit, heal 10 HP on hit - QTE Coin - Do a quick time effect for boosted damage and luck - Make berserker coin start at 30/100 chance, but have the chance scale like the damage. I also added in the V1 coin :D It deals 1/4 damage but doubles the next successful coin's damage. We also have a discord now!!!!! https://discord.gg/Re2rpujQ Thanks for reading :)) CH

Day 15

 Today we finished our game!!!!! (allegedly) I finished adding sfx to the goblo, gob, miniboss, and the boss :) I also fixed 3 bugs: - The skip button not disappearing when selecting the first coin option. - A animation error with the gob enemy not playing the animation - The berserker coin dealing WAY too much damage (divided by 10 instead of 100), then way too little when I tried to fix it. (the divided variable being an integer instead of a float) Finally I exported the game to exe and Linux :P Thanks for reading :D CH

day 14

 Today I added some juice I added in sound effects for the player & enemies. Such as: - Attack sounds for player and enemies - War cries when enemies spawn - Death sound for payer There isn't a lot to show visually. But in my own time I did add sound effects for UI such as coins & cards, and created an ending level & screen. I also added in the final boss who boosts enemies damage. Next time I will: - Finish with sound effects (ex sounds for enemy death) - More coinz :) - Other misc stuff Thanks for reading :D CH

 Today I worked on the ✨✨ style ✨✨ of the game, adding in misc sprites. Such as ones for the buttons to collect cards and coins. I also added a button to skip choosing a coin. I also added a bar for the coins so that you can tell they aren't just background objects. I also added a short tutorial for people who don't know how to play the game. Also, I made the sprites ~3x bigger, and added in a background. 100% made by meeeee :))))))))) I plan to add juice  (also finish up the last levels and make the boss) thx for reading :))))) CH

 Today I worked mostly on the coin system. I fixed several bugs, one that made the same coin show up more than once as an options, and one that made it so after the first coin selection only one would be able to be selected. I also added a discard mechanic for coins, so when the player has 3 coins they must discard one. This did make it so that all coins would become discardable but I fixed that too. Finally I added in some parts of the UI art into the project, making it so that the icons change depending on the amount of HP and AP. Screenshot of game I also balanced the berserker coin so it only multiplies the damage by 0.1x the players missing hp instead of 1-1. Finally I added in luck ups as an option for collectable cards. Which multiply the players chance to flip heads by +0.1x per card. Thanks for reading :) CH
